Environmental / Health / Safety

AxleTech International, a General Dynamics company, strongly believes in actively applying principles of safety and environmental stewardship to how we do business. We have chosen to articulate these values in our business policy, and have put in place programs to make this a reality. We share this policy to promote a greater understanding of our efforts and invite interested parties to provide us with any comments or questions. We are dedicated to preserving and improving the environment. Our EHS program not only protects the environment but also our employees and neighbors as well.

It is the policy of AxleTech International to:
  • Provide a work environment free from recognized hazards that have the potential for serious injury.
  • Operate its facilities in compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and environmental health and safety (EHS) laws in a way that is protective of the health and safety of its employees, surrounding communities, and the environment.
  • Strive to be an industry leader in the improvement of environmental quality by monitoring waste and emissions, reusing and recycling, reducing the use of natural resources, and promoting pollution prevention efforts throughout the company.
  • Review the EHS Management System annually.
  • Establish goals for continuous EHS improvement.
  • Integrate environmental, health, and safety considerations into business planning and decisions.
  • Establish a workplace in which all employees are properly trained to comply with applicable EHS laws and regulations to meet EHS program goals and to take personal responsibility for protecting the environment, themselves, and each other.
  • Work with its customers to ascertain and meet their EHS expectations and goals.
