Central Tire Inflation Systems (CTIS)

AxleTech International offers a modular, fully programmable Central Tire Inflation System
(CTIS) that is 50% faster than the conventional CTIS. Our superior system offers your
users a safer driving experience while reducing operating costs. Our staff of engineers will
work with your company to applicate our system to your vehicle during vehicle production
or at any time during the vehicles life.

Basic Features:

Controller – Dash mounted digital electronic circuit controller monitors and controls the
entire system.

Manifold – Externally mounted power manifold is a collection of solenoid values with one
each for inflation, deflation and quick exhaust for rapid pressure change.

Wheel Valves – Our valves provide a passage for the air to inflate and deflate tires through
controlled manifold system. The valves have no electrical connections and will not affect the
manual inflation of tires.

Specifications / Features:

Electrical 24V; 3 1/2A
Ambient Operating Temp -50º F to +140º F or -46ºC to +60ºC.
Air Supply 80-100 PSI (5.56 Bar – 6.69 Bar) dry air; 140 PSI
(9.7 Bar) Max.
Tire Pressure Settings Support recommended setting by tire manufacturer.
Operating Settings Emergency
Mud, Sand, Snow, Cross Country and Highway
Emergency Operation Fail-safe feature with system disengagement if vehicle
air supply system fall below 85 PSI (5.86 Bar)

System detects flat tires and automatically (or manually) maintains 6 PSI (0.4 Bar) allowing the vehicle to limp back or move to safe area for service.

If system cannot maintain 6 PSI (0.4 Bar) system pressure for more than 2 minutes a low air warning
light alerts the operator.
Automatic Pressure Monitoring System can help improve tire life and detection of leaks.  A scan of the system is periodically conducted and each tire is adjusted to maintain optimal setting according the controller setting.
Inflation Times 5 -15 minutes depending on the vehicles compressor capacity.
Black Out Operating Mode System emits less than 640 nm peak wave length which is below the detection capability of most infra-red devices.
Compliance

Durability-cycling at ambient temperatures from -50ºF
to +140ºF or -46ºC to +60ºC.
