PLANETARY RIGID AXLES
PRLC144 SERIES

PRODUCT SUMMARY

Product Summary

The AxleTech International PRLC144 series axle is engineered to meet the increasing demands of the medium-duty industrial lift truck market. With an axle capacity of 35,300 lbs. (16,000 kg.), this axle covers lift capacities ranging from 11,000-16,500 lbs. (5.0-7.5 M.T.).

The PRLC144 planetary rigid axle is available with 10.53 and 15.06:1.0 overall axle ratios and a possible ratio range of 10.53-30.84:1.0. The new patented carrier and wheel end designs provide performance characteristics specific to the medium-duty industrial lift truck market.

Engineered for compatibility with the demanding traction conditions, the PRLC144 meets the trend of increased driveline torque, tire size, and loading requirements, and provides durability for an extended life cycle. Life cycle enhancements include unitized input pinion seals, housing magnets, and needle rollers at planet gears. The PRLC144 design will help to reduce end-user maintenance cost. The 9.0 inch (229 mm) diameter oil immersed hydraulically-actuated wet disc brakes are insulated from external contaminants and provide longer life and less downtime and maintenance.

The mechanical parking brake feature eliminates the need for a driveline brake by combining service, parking, and emergency braking into a single braking unit. For severe duty cycles, optional forced-cooling ports are available to allow for an auxiliary cooling system.

The axle input is capable of direct to the transmission yoke. Vertical axle mounting pads interface with the lift truck for easy mounting.

AxleTech International planetary rigid axles are durable and dependable, and have been thoroughly proven under the most severe conditions.

AxleTech International is the former Rockwell® Off Highway Products Division.
