Troy, Mich. – AxleTech International, one of the world’s leading suppliers of specialty vehicle drivetrain systems, introduced today the PRC / PROC 2715 series of planetary rigid axles. This wide-track series enhances the overall performance, durability, and reliability of rugged forestry, construction, and mining vehicles. Axle capacities range from 22,000 – 44,000 lbs. (10,000 – 20,000 kg.).
This series offers a selection of gear ratios and load capacities. These axles feature increased driveline torque and loading when compared to previous generation axles and accommodate larger tire sizes. A shift-on-the-fly hydraulically controlled differential is standard. An optional limited slip differential with 2.0 bias ratio improves traction in select vocations, and a right-hand hypoid carrier option is also available for optimized driveline angles.
This series includes wheel-speed wet-disc brakes. A carrier input pinion mounted park brake option is available. AxleTech’s hydraulically applied differential lock gives the vehicle maximum traction and preserves axle components through a “soft-lock” capability.
The PRC / PROC 2715 series is competitively priced, customizable, and offers industry leading design innovations from brakes to differential to mounting options.
